3 of My Favorite Non-Personal-Development YouTubers

For when you want to watch pure art in cinematic form

If you’re anything like me, you can easily become overwhelmed by the fire hydrant of information you get from personal development YouTubers.

Everyone once in while, I enjoy watching YouTube without intentionally learning something.

These are my favorite channels to watch when I just want to relax in the tub and watch what someone has created simply for the art of it.

Kylie Flavell

I began watching Kylie’s channel when I was in high school and desperate to run away to Europe.

She’s originally from Australia but moved to Europe when she was 17 and lived in Kobe, Positano, Barcelona, Monte Carlo, London, Rome, and is now currently based in Florence, Italy.

Her videos are cinematic and romantic.

My favorite videos are the ones where she interviews local Italians and her Q+ A’s. She has a way of creating the most intimate and special conversations with complete strangers and creating absolute beauty out of the most simple of concepts.

Another one of my favorite videos is where she goes on a date with a ‘stranger’. The beauty! I’ve never seen another creator capture their life the way Kylie does.

Her channel will make you want to run away to Italy, go on spontaneous dates with Italian men you’ll never see again, and see life as something to experience, rather than simply exist in.

Eugenia Diaz

Eugenia documents her life “off the grid”.

The first video I watched of hers was when she shared her life one year after living off-grid.

Like Kylie, her videos are cinematic and capture her simple life so beautifully.

You will be transported to a life of simplicity in the Portuguese mountains where Eugenia and her husband eat from their own garden, live in a tiny home with their dog and cat, and document their morning and daily routines as they care for their land.

If you’re the least bit interested in gardening you will love her channel. Eugenia has created a farm-to-kitchen garden and has a master class and book about how to start and sustain your own garden.

The Local Project

The Local Project is a YouTube channel that highlights the best-of-the-best of architecture.

Most of the homes they showcase are located in Australia, however, they’ve recently expanded into touring homes in the U.S.

Personally, I’ve found inspiration in designing my own home from this channel as each home is absolutely stunning and unique.

I’m curious to know what your favorite YouTube channels are!
